oh ic ic so dumb question for ya i got a 1980 txl with a bad crank, i should be able to put a 1976 tx free crank in should i? or any other tips?

i dont think you would because there might be a problem with mixing the free air bottom end and the liquid cooled jugs. txl cranks or engines are veryyy cheap on ebay sometimes, ive literally seen engines sell for 10$. i would just wait for another txl one to show up. or you can drop an early indy 500 engine in the txl chassis, or possible a centurion 500 or indy 650, something like that with a bit of mods and it will be insane

the paint has been holding up very good, just make sure that you sand everything and use a good coat of primer first before you put on the paint
