The content you're seeing here, was made by a bunch of guys doing this in their freetime ... it's a mod for a game, but the game itself is not as good as this !

by the books the optimal shifting time is just before or just in the red part of your rpm meter ( if you cant hear it, then you can watch it ;)
and go easy in the first 2/3 gears..there is the most power and you will be most likely to spin when keeping the throttle down..
for driving fast laps you will need to learn to shift by automatism and hearing...in a fast lap you dont have time to look at where your rpm meter is...
