The World To Come: StevenVisions #1

My thoughts on our emerging global culture.

Inspired by:

Mythologist Joseph Campbell.
In "The Power of Myth," and many other works and talks, he expressed our need for New Myths for the 21st Century.

He suggested the iconic photo of Earth in space,
"The Blue Marble," taken by Apollo 17 in 1972.

Another iconic photo
-- and the first view of Earth rising over the Moon --
was taken by Apollo 8, in 1968.

This was the first image ever taken by humans of the whole Earth.

And the book:

He shows how our postmodern world presents the friction of belief systems -- which define the primary philosophical divisions of our time.

He elucidates how our technology alters our senses.

He originated the expressions,
"The Medium is the Message" and
"The Global Village."

And also:

"Promethea," by Alan Moore.
Presents the Apocalypse as a Revelation of our divine nature.

The comic book series is available as graphic novels.

i hope this thing is for a good cause, but one thing that i know for sure. a "good change" is not by implying rules or laws or a switch of a civilization etc. but more on the individual itself the way of thinking and living righteously.change is a process like technology as well. but one thing is for sure. if you make a quantum leap through generations, you will found out. that every inanimate changes makes no sense that self righteousness of an individual. peace and god bless.

@FlavioAngPanday Good points! :) I think most of this change happens at the individual level -- and when enough people change, then the world changes. If by "righteously" you mean honestly, authentically, then I agree.
