He's clearly drunk in this interview...... I'd imagine he often was at the time. I'm sure he figured he could get away with it on a German television show. Little did the dude know teh intarwebz would blow his cover years later. That's not me judging or mocking though. I actually feel bad for him watching this interview. I'm glad the dude got better/sober.

Great Interview, but listen to the short piece of music starting at 2:40...It's Stabbing Westwards "What do I have to do?". Why is it played on a NIN Interview. Is it because SW was handled as the second best Industrial Act of the 90's?

trent reznor doesnt like playing in germany, cuz everytime when he does...something bad happens.
he was in germany as "pre-act" for guns and roses and he kinda disliked the experience. he didnt like the boring GNR fans..who just stood there with theyr girlfriends. and i guess someone threw a sausage at him on a german festival.
