    It says person not citizen ergo the rights apply to anyone.

  • I'm not an American, but even I know that your constitution applies to all PERSONS, except where it explicitly says it only applies to citizens.

  • Exactly. It was a softball because they said "village". There aren't really villages in America, so it was implied against foreigners. Americans don't really mind exterminating civilian foreigners. Not that we are unique in that mentality.

  • The constitution doesn't say "American Citizen", it says "person". Long story short; your friend is misinformed.

  • A person I know said that the constitution is meant only for Americans therefore it doesn't apply to terrorist (so they can be tortured.)
