Solar prominence on edge of sun recorded from indoors through double glazing ['cos it cold outside!] via my Coronado PST telescope.

  • Have you made any new accomplishments with your pst? im currently going bonkers trying to get some surface detail on video, gotta prepare for solar maximum!

  • @AmpleLight The H-a red narrow-band scope filter seems to throw the auto-exposure metering and you need a videocam with controls to reduce exposures to show disk detail. This is more easily done with still images [not video] plus post image processing. Good luck. I'm mostly interested in proms and this is simple point and shoot.

  • Nice video. Thanks. I recently bought a PST and live in cool climate also where double glazing's required. It's nice to know you can achieve good views through windows.

  • Cool Video Nyte!
