Linux Mint is good because flash and java and various other things that u have to track down in synaptic by yourself are already installed. and it looks better by default but obviously you can change the theme. and gnome is my favorite DE. Idk why I just dont like KDE. was always buggy or crashed or couldnt get it to look how i wanted it. I guess I just dislike qt4 in general. although k3b is the best cd burning application I have ever used with a 100% success rate!

Nice. I didn't care for the file/repository system in Ubuntu. Found it more difficult to configure.
I personally use Kubuntu and Xubuntu on my machines.
I just prefer KDE over gnome.

How did you install the AWN theme? The AWN theme manager isn't showing the python files, which are dubbed with AWN in the mac4lin folder.

u dont have to unzip the theme, just point the theme mangager to the zip and make sure it is selected and restart awn.
