A couple of bits and pieces from the last few days exploring along the Yarra River in suburban Melbourne. Although they have a fearsome reputation, Tiger Snakes are generally very shy and retiring unless provoked or cornered. I have seen quite a few snakes over the last few days, but seeing them and filming them are quite different things as most are very alert and quick to retreat. The main snake in this video is a few days away from shedding it's skin, hence the milky blueish eyes. I had this one cornered a bit so he shows me a bit of Tiger attitude before going on his way. We are very lucky to have these beautiful snakes right in the heart of Melbourne.
I will be trying to put a lot more together over the next few months so drop by and check out my channel from time to time.
