„Preußens Gloria" auf dem Roten Platz in Moskau, so lautete die Überschrift der staatlichen russischen Nachrichtenagentur „Novosti" in ihrem Bericht über das 1. Militärmusikfestival in Moskau. Zu sehen sind das Musikkorps der Bundeswehr aus Siegburg und der Spielmannszug des Stabsmusikkorps beim 1. Moskauer Musikfestival "Kremlin Zoria" im Jahr 2007. Das Musikkorps hat auch für das nächste Festival ("Spasskaya Tower - 2010") in Moskau eine Einladung erhalten und ist zum zweiten Mal mit Klingendem Spiel auf dem Roten Platz einmarschiert.

Die Bundeswehr bewahrt wenigstens deutsche Traditionen (Märsche, Uniformen usw.). Tradition hat bei vielen Deutschen leider keine Bedeutung mehr, was ich persönlich sehr schade finde!

Nein, also hervorragend gespielt und auch großartig, dass die Russen die Deutschen zu sowas einladen und dieses Lied spielen lassen. Ich bin für eindeutig mehr Zusammenarbeit zwischen unseren beiden Ländern. Leider hat Russland atm die falsche Regierung für ernsthafte Politik...

It's not the size. It's the indoctrination of the German people after WW2. Most people took distance to the actions of WW2 and didn't want to have anything to do with it. So it is still today.

And the left is not big here. Conservatives are at power.

I wouldn't agree on that. When Germany re-armed due to the cold war making it necessary, there was large protest against it. Also Germany has a really strong left that tends to oppose everything militaristic. Before the WW's a Uniform allowed a poor guy to imprison the mayor of a city. Nowadays soldiers aren't that respected, that's got nothing to do with size.
