1977 was about the time of the first internationals between US and Canadian teams. In 1956 the Hockettes in Ann Arbor skated routines at Hockey Game intervals but it was awhile before other teams appeared. The Corps de Patineurs from Australia were the first non North American team to skate internationally in 1985.
