Ha ha, you are right, all of a sudden a golden generation appeared in Spain. However basketball has always been the second sport played in Spain. I think the real Dream Team, the one that played in the Olympic Games in Barcelona'92 influenced some kids -i'm spanish-. Almost all the spanish national team is playing or has played in the NBA: Raul Lopez, Pau and Marc Gasol, Garbajosa, Navarro, Rudy, Rodriguez, Calderon... and maybe in the future Ricky Rubio andy Felipe Reyes.
