U2 - Happy X-Mas (War Is Over), It's Christmas (Baby Please Come Home) & Band Aid - Do They Know It's Christmas
2 Christmas songs performed by U2 and 1 by Band Aid (including Bono and Adam Clayton). The first one was recorded at the Late Late show on 16 December 1988, the second one was recorded for 'A Very Special Chrismas' album and the last one is a slightly different video for the well known Band Aid christmas song. @fuge000 Boo! I think somewhere John Lennon is looking down on you and shaking his saintly, brilliant head. Either you mean no one should be allowed to sing it beacuse the original is so brilliant, in which you miss the egalitarian/pacifist message, or you are referring to the aesthetics of the singing in which case you must never have listened to the original, which includes the faux "child singing out of tune" vocals of Yoko which are part of the original. either way your wrong

Happy christmas ( the war it´s over ) is a Jhon Lennon song, who wrote it after the US goberment, try to deported him to england. Sorry for my english, I am from Costa Rica and I like U2 and The Beatles too.

I hate how people can't understand that sometimes covers aren't because a band thinks they can do better, but more out of homage. Bono loves John. The numerous Beatles covers and snippets they have played in their time, there is something like 20 John songs, and 2 Paul songs. They have taste.
Just appreciate an amazing singer from an amazing band playing one of the most perfectly crafted songs of all time.
