  • Perhaps the old town can at least, be a lesson, a cry in the night of sorts, Tell any communities that are being solicited to build casinos ... casino will bring jobs and growth...is bullshit.

Mafia is Mafia.....period. Mafia is EVIL period. Evil destroys people, communities, and as we can see by our Nations current situation...Mafia kills whole Nations.

if you dont know what im talking about google" Luciano and OSS" or Robert Kennedy CIA Organized Crime.

  • @kellythesinger Yeah bring back the old Atlantic City with Nucky and his Casinos .

  • There is NOPLACE like home............

  • Sadly, AC looks & sounds like another country now. I am nervous walking the boards at night even with my husband because the people look very strange. You barely hear anyone speaking English, so many are passed out on the benches, most of them are filthy & smell wretched, and many are homeless. If I were dropped onto the boards of AC now, with a blind fold on, when I removed it, I would have no clue what country I was in, but I would probably swear I was no longer in America. It's very sad.

  • I'm with you, Kelly. I dearly miss the old A.C. too. Casinos have dragged it into hell. I knew it would happen once casinos were legal there.

  • @kellythesinger

Me Too! They didn't help the city. Along with corrupt politicians the city is now a disgrace.

  • The second picture in this show is the Shore Fast Line stopped in Somers Point. I currently live 1/2 block from that stop at New York Avenue and First Street.

  • During the days I was growing up there

Grade School, High School and all, I never thought I'd say it...but now with great pride and tears in my eyes,

    I miss my old hometown.
