beautiful boy, and a great actor - and a wonderful story - unfortunately, it doesn't work that way - the man is an alcoholic and violent, and without outside help will keep on hurting his family until he goes too far - it's not a question of if he goes too far, but when he goes too far - forgiveness, yes - but it must be done within the context of reality - this video's promotion of fairy tale forgiveness could cause real harm

What mother would leave her three kids at the mercy of a drunken wife/child beater and then trust that he'll change his ways in an instant so as never to beat them again? It's totally unrealistic and quite possibly dangerous to keep giving the abuser another chance. Very few people have the strength of character to simply decide to change their abusive ways. They need a lot of help but this shouldn't mean putting the wife and kids in more danger. This is a poor message for vulnerable families.

@JayDaySays Ignorance is a disease that is bread by careless neglectful people, we as a species don't even really understand ourselves yet. however there is hope in the children, they grow up and are the future. Whether they were in hands of abusive parents or in haven of those who learned from bad examples, they will grow and not repeat the crap shit of others who have failed so well. I learned to cherish my true family, and to not make mistakes of my parents. This in turn has given me HOPE.
