Venus and her new carrier

After some scratching on the underside of her scratch mat, she explores her new comfort carrier from Bergan and then relaxes for a while.

The scratch mat is the generic Petco mat flipped upside down. We could never get her to scratch the side made for scratching, but she loves the antislip rubber backing. She's to the point that if we have the mat almost completely covered, she'll still scratch on the little bit sticking out instead of the carpet.

The carrier is the large Bergan Comfort Carrier. She goes in it on her own, but we're still working on getting her to stay calm when it's zipped up. Luckily the padding on the bottom is held in place with velcro so she can't hide under it like she did with her last carrier. It also has loops for putting the car's seatbelt through which is a lot better than our old hard sided carrier that the seatbelt didn't even fit around.
