In this match as in every other between these two, Monfils has not been able to stay with Nadal. He may go toe to toe for a set and a half. But he crumbles when it comes to best of five. He can trade shots angle to angle for a while, then he tires and Nadal is hardly breathing while Monfils is trying to catch breath.
