Excerpt from Robert Casadesus playing Sonata No. 3 in B Minor, op. 58. IV. Finale: Presto non tanto
From: VAI DVD 4276 Casadesus: First Family of the Piano
This documentary chronicles a true musical family dynasty. Though Robert Casadesus had the most visible career as a performing and recording artist, his wife, Gaby, and son, Jean, were fine musicians in their own right and frequently concertized independently. In First Family of the Piano, narrated by Jean, we meet the Casadesus family as performers and as devoted family members.
Bonus features include performances by Robert, Jean and Gaby from the Bell Telephone Hour archives.
90 min., Color, Mono.
Includes bonus selections by Jean Casadesus and Robert, Jean, and Gaby Casadesus (1963-1964)
