Problem to Solve:
Typical office users experience body aches after long hours sitting at a desk. Using a manual height adjustable table may solve the problem, but the issue arises where the user may forget or be bothered to change the height at all. Thus a system is to be developed to automate the height changing process in a way that results in relaxing muscles and relieving aches.

Objective for this research:
This project entails the design and implementation of a control interface for an adjustable height table. This will allow typical users to plug in their computer to the table to allow for customizable height adjustment throughout the day.

Desired Outcome:
Using the developed software, the users are able to intuitively control the table to their personalized settings using their personal computer. In addition, intelligence is to be built into the system to cater for various user scenarios.

Impact on Ontario:
To improve poor posture typically found in office workers and to relive stress on the supporting muscles.
