This is a demo of Math Tricks an iPhone/iPod Touch Application that is available on the iTunes App Store that can teach you how to do complex math in your head.

Impress your friends and amaze your teachers! You’ll be surprised at how quickly and easily that you will be able to compute such large figures in your head! Math Tricks is an interactive and fun way to, not only learn, but also to boost your skills. This mental workout takes you through every problem and gives you step-by-step tricks to improve your speed and accuracy. It offers an easy to understand chalkboard visual, which keeps track of your "score" as you progress.

Math Tricks is perfect for long drives, flights, and waiting in lines. It's excellent for all ages (only knowledge of multiplication is necessary) and all skill levels as it allows you to select a specific category or from all seven lessons. This math "flashcard" approach is easy to understand and is clear and concise for all ages and math abilities. Challenge yourself by incorporating multiple lessons or work to improve a specific lesson. A pleasant sound indicates a correct answer while a vibration (iPhone only) indicates an error (or a whoops).

Zip rapidly through the following topics with ease and confidence as you apply the 7 fundamental math tricks:
-Squaring numbers in the 50s
-Squaring numbers ending in 5
-Multiplying 2 numbers ending in 5 that are 10 apart
-Multiplying 2 numbers ending in 5 that are 20 apart
-Multiplying 2 numbers in the 90s
-Squaring numbers in the 40s
-Multiplying 2, 2-digit numbers that end in 1

Well, the best thing about the iPhone 4g must be higher resolution display and the new case changes.

Most of ppl watchin' this video simply can't buy Apples latest iPhone, since it will be $499

Good news, I found out on Apples facebook page today they are giving away a ton of iphone 4gs. Oh and, this will take you to their contest page ... just copy and paste

  • naww i thinks its becuzz u just cant understand....

  • There are so many other good sources for these types of easy math tricks. I had two complaints from watching this video: (1) the lesson shown does not explain why it works -- was this just a summary of the lesson, or was that the lesson? (2) using multiple choice is dumb, especially when the wrong choices are so obviously wrong (eg., only one choice ending in the correct last digit) -- why not require the correct answer to be keyed in?

  • Meaning given a number like 38 x 32. I can simply multiply 3 by 3+1, (making 12) and stick that onto 8 times 2, and make 1216. It is important to remember that in a real sense the 12 becomes 1200 as a result of being multiplied by 100, and cannot simply be stuck onto the second number in cases of (10x + 9) times (10x + 1). There are many more where this came from. Most of the tricks are considered part of the study of vedic math. Check it out.

  • Many of the concepts I could tell you of are shown if you search 'vedic math' on youtube. For instance when you have a multiple with the same double digits and the single digits add to 10, the double digit two number formula, where (10j +k) is one number and (10j + n) is another, multiplying the two makes 100j^2 + 10jn +10jk +kn. Then since k+n=10, it becomes 100 ( j (j+1) ) + kn.
