A Constitutional Guide to the Political Groups in the European Parliament

► Related video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ljAANHPkrAE This is a guide to the satirical leaflet welcoming Czech President Vaclav Klaus on his visit to the European Parliament on 19.02.2009, marking the Czech Presidency of the EU Council.

The leaflet, claiming to be "A Constitutional Guide to the Political Groups" for the Czech President was
produced by the Independence/Democracy Group in the European Parliament and disseminated in Parliament just before President Klaus' arrival. Notwithstanding the disresepect shown to President Klaus by many MEPs, the leaflet seems to have gone down well with most MEPs... with exceptions, of course, as can be seen in the video clip.

Satirical leaflets, terrible! This does not conform to the EU regulation on fun, part 3a with regard to humour activities allowable in Europe. It also conficts with article 5 concerning Political Correct behaviour. And section 7 on the acceptable subjects for jokes. Added to this it seems to contraven, the regulation that states, Humour may only be practiced by a licenced approved professional comedian, in an approved location, licenced for fun.

European voters are getting tired of being lied to by the un-elected commission ! : There are no plans for a European superstate ; there are no plans for a European Army ; Galileo is not for military use; the Constitution is not comparable to the Lisbon Treaty ; the Commission respects the Irish NO vote etc...!
