  • No I cannot add the link now because it is from another network ...

  • @LokayLakanay You want to display this post on another site?

I'm cool with that so long as you give me credit as the original uploader. ;)

  • Oh man- You have the 78 collection of my dreams. My 70's LP pressing of this Dial stuff is one of my favorite records of all time. I practically wore it out as a kid. Do you have the Dial version of Lover Man on 78? Your sound quality is shocking. Just yesterday, I (hopefully) got the last bugs worked out of my "new" turntable.

  • @scottosonic Bird's Dial label 78 of "Lover Man"? I sure do - planning on doing a new transfer of the original Dial label album set it's out of pretty soon, but I've got the camera version already posted here: /watch?v=TR98nEmShQM

    And thanks. :)

  • Arvin Garrison is kicking my ass!!! Wow.

  • This was before Miles really

came into his own and his playing here shows it but Bird... Damn. His influence on Coltrane and others really shows here.

  • AWESOME sound. Man... it's Just Too Bad they didn't mix the bass in half of those Dial masters so that it was audible; like any good jazz musician knows, Especially in bebop, the Bass Is The Heartbeat Of The Music... but WOW, this sounds clearer than I ever remember hearing it - Nice Work!

  • Always loved this tune! Awesome! And great job on the pics and slideshows for your recent videos. I haven't had a chance to see all of them though.

  • No, the fact is that I like this tune so much that I did my own multimedia version of it (so, with a video ) ... but don't mind about it, wasn't a good idea finally. ^_^

  • By the way I meant my cover, so I don't really know if it can bother you ...

    cheers anyway swingman !!
