People on youtube that argue about this shit and complain about wrecking planes number one don't have 2 million dollars just to buy the plane and number two don't have the money for upkeep. As the proud owner of a t-28 and an OV-1A which i know is not anything near a p-51 in price i know the cost of upkeep on a warbird and you can't afford it.

Ouch. Glad they were able to get her up and flying again. It's nice to see restored birds sitting in museums and with luck they should be there for a long time safe and sound but planes were built for flying and I love to watch them race as well as perform exhibitions.

You are correct. I remember the airplane when Howie Keef owned/flew it and that has to be at least 30yrs ago. It was heavily modified then.

My father and I were able to visit this plane when it was at its home airport in Oklahoma City several years ago on several occasions. "Miss America" is not an "original" Mustang. Its wings were clipped for racing purposes. They destroyed a piece of history way before the crash.
