The flaps on the blades are called Servo-Flaps - this was one of Mr. Kaman's first inventions back in the mid-1940s and it sure has stood the test of time. I have worked at Kaman for more than 20 years and we appreciate your good words about the K-MAX - except I don't think it's an ugly beast! LoL
