Hi J.B In Ireland I think the best place to buy bullion is goldcore.com situated here in Dublin,I find them excellent to do business with .J.B.If we as a nation took Ireland's pension reserve and bought 17 billion euro worth of Gold / Silver and told the E.C.B to piss off I wonder what would happen to the price of P.Ms, plus Ireland would have a reserve of Gold / Silver, while fiat money totally diminished in value due to America / Europe printing money.

What you suggest re: the purchase of Gold/Silver

by our Government is a non runner.

It wouldn't be tolerated . If we got out of the EU

, re instituted our own currency & set about a

real & serious revamp of our own finances - then lots

of things unthinkable before , would become possible.

@jbyeats You have the left in the US pretty well figured out ... I listened to you enough that I wouldn't think you were one of those in the far left. Many in the US don't really know what the terms mean though actually, it's true. They follow what those important to them follows, same with sports teams & religion. They tend to twist definitions to fit their idea of who's their group, the good guys, and others, the bad guys ... often they get to sounding ridicules, trying to reconcile it all.

@jbyeats It's not just a problem defining, it means something different. I've spoken to you before about the differences in the meaning of capitalist when you have a class system & basically Oligarchic systems as you have in Europe. In the US it's free market capitalism without such institutional separations that keep people "in their place". Kings apportioned the lands in most of Europe, and the decedents of the in crowd are basically on top, get the good stations, the rest have to struggle.

@omegahpla In the US - there seems to be a major problem defining what left & right in politics - really means . I come out of left wing radical tradition - yet I find myself more aligned with figures in the US who would consider themselves as right wing Republicans. Many of the so called lefties I see in the US are just crackpots and liberals posing as do - gooders . My politics can be define as ' libertarian co-operation ' - very simple stuff really . many thanks.jb
