  • I'm an agnostic as opposed to an atheist, but this still makes me very happy. It's amazing how many dirty looks I get if I share with people that I'm not a Christian just because people somehow think that "not a christian" = morally deficient. HA.

I think you're right about this, and I've also noticed that there has been a lot more...not necessarily pro-atheist material but material that is critical of religion in media - TV, video games, you name it.

  • @AerisMemory Thank you, I agree 100%.

  • uhh... did you watch the entire episode? Because at the end it was clearly, pro-god, with Kirk praying for his dad to get better.

  • @moriya2k2 No, watch it again. Kirk was at his dad's bedside at the end, and he said "I don't believe in God, Dad, but I believe in you". Kirk never prayed, he stuck to his guns the whole episode.

  • Have never watched Glee, but it is encouraging to see the mainstreaming of atheism. I think that we are in the same period of our "evolution" in society as the gay movement was in the mid-80s. And what did it take for the great strides that gay-acceptance has taken? A willingness to "out" themselves and stand up for their rights! I'm a 62 year old who has been an atheist since age 13...the first time I said it out loud...last year. Now I "say it loud and say it proud!" God Be Less

  • @sonvolt48 Great to hear! Richard Dawkins was talking about his "OUT Campaign" on Bill Maher's show this week. There's going to be millions more of us doing the same thing.

  • Steven I love you. You would talk delightfully about a Glee episode. :)

  • i think its just saying that you sould have respect for both sides of it......im a cristion but i respect peoples beleifs

  • @SkeptikSnarf It's called Grilled Cheesus, and it is on Hulu now.

Oddly enough, I just finished watching SNL hosted by Jane Lynch from Glee, and they made a fake ad for a product that hides references to your atheism from your mother on Facebook... go figure!

  • do you remember the name of the episode. i want to see this now and find it on hulu
