AVATAR is the new movie from James Cameron. In the future, Jake Sully, a paraplegic war veteran, is brought to another planet, Pandora, which is inhabited by the Na'vi, a humanoid race with their own language and culture. Those from Earth find themselves at odds with each other and the CG that surrounds them.

Its such a shame, I was really looking forward to avatar until I saw the trailer and recognised so many aspects of Delgo. I hope Cameron at least acknowledges that inspiration came from Delgo.

@bemyjack Actually Avatar began in 1994 and Delgo began in 1999. The creators of Delgo obviously heard about James Cameron's film being made and thought of making a CG film similar to it (thats just how i think it happened). Unfortunately, Delgo got mostly negative reviews whereas Avatar got mostly positive reviews, which is such a shame because both movies are great. I think this happened because James Cameron was best known for making the first two Alien movies and first two Terminator movies.
