  • @chuckles1deb cant blow the Martins Horn away though!

  • nice Mack truck near the end@

  • ever notice how there's never fire around near a wet-down? It would be the best place to have one after all!!

  • The Q is the Best siren, but you do not put your foot into it and leave it there! I am a 30 year exp. Firefighter and engineer. The Q should be cycled up and down, the change in the pitch, moving up and down is the attention getting sound. Putting your foot into it does not allow the siren to properly do its job. My 2 cents worth of experience. That being said, the Q blows away any electronic siren any day!!!

  • Hell of a way to welcome a rig love it.

  • @slayslayslay thats where you are wrong my friend, i can hear my engines q siren literally a mile away seeing as how the firehouse is about a mile to 3/4 of a mile down the road from my house, you cannot hear a wail unless the truck is riding your bumper. so yea, Q siren over Wail anytime, anywhere, anyday pal. Q siren was and still is the best siren ever made for a apparatus!

  • MORE "Q"!!!!

  • @407pilot i have to go with a WELL USED "Q" not laying the brick on the pedal, but WELL USED!

  • @ProudVolunteer19 t was a new truck celebration, half the fun is making hte most noise you can, the other half of hte fun is the wet down, atleast thats how we do it in my neck of the woods

  • @slayslayslay I'd debate that, proven fact or not. The yelp, because it changes so rapidly from high to low to high, etc..., is more of an attention getting, urgent sound. It gets the attention of people in vehicles better that have their windows up, music on, heaters or A/C fans going. The best one I've ever heard is the NASIG on the 'riot' tone. A kind of hi-lo tone, but each tone sounds three times. Crazy and effective.
