Anti-globalization author and activist Antonia Juhasz discusses the history of opposition to the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund.

Antonia Juhasz is a visiting scholar at the Washington, D.C.-based Institute for Policy Studies and author of The Bush Agenda: Invading the World, One Economy at a Time, which explores the Bush administration's use of the military to advance a corporate globalization agenda in Iraq and throughout the Middle East.

Juhasz previously served as the project director of the International Forum on Globalization and as a legislative assistant to Congressmen John Conyers Jr. and Elijah Cummings.

An award-winning writer, her work appears regularly on the Op Ed pages of the Los Angeles Times as well as numerous author newspapers and publications. She is contributing author to Alternatives to Economic Globalization: A Better World Is Possible (Berrett-Koehler, 2004).

What is good for GM, a.k.a. Dupont Family Offices, is good for the world! Let's be specific and more accurate about what was really going on here. "US Corporations were doing to be the driving force..." mean US family offices...they can hide behind GE and IBM European holdings for the Holocaust, etc. as long as we keep playing like they are corporations. Any hope that I had for Obama ended when I found out that Timothy Geithner (who worked for the IMF) was announced as secretary of the treasury. Do not trust Obama, he will bring about a new age of imperialism and militarism.

Excellent point. IMF and World Bank are controlled by the U.S. because votes are purchased unlike UN alternative model of one country one vote . We need a 3rd world order that is neither the U N or the World Bank.

Maybe we need a true democracy in which people are in power and not INGOs or Corporate Elite Interests.
