Most have a place on the deck to store stuff if you want. Beware, because they do not watch it for you and several cars will unload before you do and those people will have access to your stuff.
On many, you can just hold onto your purse. I suggest a coat with zipper pockets because some rides require you to place your sunglasses, etc. inside a zippered pocket.
