Because of her I lift my sword with pride. A tribute to our Action Girls and role models: Kahlan Amnell from "Sword of Truth - Legend of the Seeker", Éowyn of the Rohirrim from "Lord of the Rings", Fa Mulan, Lady Morgana and Guinevere from Merlin.

The song is "One of Us" by Heather Dale, a celebration of female knights and women warriors.

Gah, this song always chokes me up. This is exactly what feminism should be about - and I don't mean the fighting. It's about finding something that you care about and knowing that, no matter what your gender or anything, you can throw your whole self into it. Whether that's taking up the sword and protecting the ones you love, or anything else in this world, it doesn't matter. I'm so glad to see our positive female role models getting the attention they deserve. Love the song, love the video.
