The U.S. and China began two days of high-level meetings in Washington on Monday, with nuclear proliferation and the global economic crisis among the issues on the agenda.
In an address to diplomats from both countries, U.S. President Barack Obama said he was under no illusions that the U.S. and China will agree on every issue. But Obama also underscored the value of the relationship, which he claims will shape the 21st century.

Orville Schell, the director of the Center on U.S.-China relations at the Asia Society, joins Martin Savidge to discuss what may come of these meetings.

  • Let us be the best friend in the world, please

  • This is obviously leading the world to thee One World Order !

    It's all getting together !

There is a One World Currency hidden behind the talks between US & China !

  • LOL i do not live in shitty US. i dont wanna end up stupid like most of u americans

  • if you read my comment you see i laid blame right where it belongs. and i see your profile doesnt give a country of origin. probly live here in the us right? i bet you live in the free safe land of america, getting the benifits from it, while at the same time hating america and americans. how do cowards like you live with themselves?

  • oh so u are blaming china for ur own politicians mistakes. typical fuckin americans. go taste another hijacked plane

  • I wonder why the USA is pushing China to decouple it's fixed currency? Hmm... so it can rise in value against the US Dollar perhaps? So that the debt drops and the trade deficit shrinks as well? Do you really think the treasury secretary gives a rats ass about China and what China thinks? Why are they flooding the markets with trillions of extra dollars?

  • wow lookyeahhohon, you know a lot about me. But beside that fact that you really don't know diddly about me, what do you think America is really saying to China? Basically, they are say "Hey China - Fuck You" and that is why China is freaking out. They are going to devalue the currency (oh yeah, they have already to a certain point) and the debt won't be worth crap. Maybe, lookyeahhohon, you might be a high school drop out? I won't assume though like you did.

  • thats why your a high school drop out and will never be a treasury secretary...may be the best you can do is a janitor at the treasury secretary office...lol

  • agreed, because of our politicians we got in this mess of owing debt to china. theyve sold the whole country out for what amounts to a few baubles and left us holding the bag.there needs to be an investigation starting with nixon on up to today. ill bet wed find all kinds of corruption and bribes ect. oh yeah and HEY CHINA FUCK YOU!!!

  • Damned, that was my idea. Perhaps we can do the dead old people due to obama health care plan chips.
