A book signing for the 13th and final installment of the Lemony Snicket series.

Daniel Handler (pen name Lemony Snicket) and Stephin Merritt of the Gothic Archies. In this part, Handler reads a passage from Chapter 2 of "The End" with 2 members of the audience.

The video quality isn't great in a number of parts, but I included it unedited because it sets the context for future jokes in the performance, and because I think people will still find it entertaining. I hope you enjoy it.

  • To answer your questons about the actual identity of ths man, he IS really a man called daniel handler, but his pen name is lemony snicket. He goes out into public and says that he is lemony snickets representitive, so yes, this is lemony snicket, but also danel handler

  • Well, I am absolutely a great fan of Mr. Snicket, however am I the only person who sees the. . interesting man at 1:37 ?

  • @huggly7 You wrote to him!? What's his address?! I want to write to him!!!!

  • I think he should go into voice acting. I love hearing his voice and he narrates three of audiotapes and he does the voices perfectly.

  • Z0MSFJG!!! What did he say? I once wrote to Michael Palin, I did get reply but from his secretary.

  • Aw, no one will humor poor Lemony. (Though that does make it extraordinarily amusing, seeing him getting all frustrated when they don't pick the right instrument.)

"There are two ways of playing this instrument. One is to hold it close to your body, so that it might spring up and hit your eye. The other is to hold it away from you, so nothing of that kind will happen. Which way will YOU choose?" Hilarious.

  • Then the kid should try to be less unfriendly.

I cannot say more here, private message me if interested.

P.S: If there's nothing out there, then what was that noise?

  • Like he said in one of the first parts. The books teach lessons to young people. Lesson 1: Scream and Run Away. Lesson 2: Suck it up, life's not fair.

  • TWO... hundred thousand dollars!

    lol
