Sound Cave Sound Samples

This clip contains sound samples of the general public playing the Sound Cave at a preview.

A Sound Cave is a small room built out of piano parts. When someone crawls inside, the strings on the walls capture any sounds the person creates and echoes them back for long periods of time. This resonance creates a space that can evoke meditative reflection or childlike exuberance, and many points in between. Additionally, each sound board is tuned according to various scientific and sound healing principles with the intention of positively affecting a participant's mind, body, and spirit.

The public debut of the Sound Cave will occur Saturday, June 27, 2009 at Million Fishes in San Francisco, CA. The closing show will occur August 15, 2009 and there will be many performances in between these dates, as well as many events for the public to play with the Sound Cave themselves.
