@DaviesSpectrum I don't care for the gospel version(s), including Paul Simon's. I prefer it sung "straight" as only (it seems) Art Garfunkel can do it. (Just a preference!)

That was pure euphoric times - One of the best thrilling times to be living in NY City - This free concert was all about the revival of America (early day of Reagan). I had just made it to Central Park by 6am on Saturday before the concert started - The filled up with a sea of people and by 3pm the cops closed out most of the entrances to CP. In those days NYC was still throwing Rock concert for free in Central Park - Mayor M. Koch made a brief intro. and the night had just gotten younger.
