Florida District 61 Representative Will Weatherford takes time for an interview with Greater Wesley Chapel Chamber of Commerce Executive Director David B. West on Feb. 22, 2010. Weatherford addresses the current state of the Florida economy and what the citizens of the Greater Wesley Chapel area can do to survive and thrive. He also discusses the changes in the schools that he anticipates, as the new Chairman of the State Education Council, as we strive to become more competitive nationally and globally. Some of the controversial proposals will include eliminating FCAT testing (in favor of end of course testing) and teacher tenure (in favor of merit pay). Weatherford is in line to become the Florida Speaker of the House in the near future. He is a resident of Wesley Chapel and an Honorary Chamber Board Member. (Videography by Ken Graham Studios.)
