Samantha Hutson died of cancer on January 20, 2009. She was the love of my life for 11-1/2 years. She was the sweetest dogs in the world. She caught her first fish when she was only 5 months old and since then she was "hooked". She lived in Telluride, Colorado and Savannah, Georgia.....

Awesome song and great looking dog... I stumbled across this looking for Hiatt performing this song live, and I couldnt find one so I watched this. Im a dog lover too and its impossibly hard to lose a dog. I noticed its been a while since you posted this, and I couldnt help but wonder if you had found a new four legged friend yet. I know you can never replace this great dog, ever, but maybe at some point you can make some new memories with another pooch:)

@SouthLbkMade Wow...thank you very much. She was such a blessing to me, there are no words that could describe the love that we had for eachother. Through the good and the bad, she never left my side. This song was our song. We were walking down the river trail during the John's concert in Telluride and he played this song. I've thought about getting another dog..... but no, not yet!

I am so sorry. I lost both of my best friends (my dogs) recently. he was 16 and she was 12. hands down the hardest and saddest times of my life. I cry almost every night before I go to bed or when i just look at their pictures. your dog is beautiful and it seems that she lived life to the fullest, as a very, very happy dog. r.i.p. samantha!

Thank you for this video. I just lost my yellow lab named Samantha two weeks ago. She was barely 10 1/2 years old. She had advanced Cushings Disease. My heart is so broken. I hope both Samantha's find peace from the turmoil of disease. I miss her.
