FELSENEGG SWITZERLAND-1

11July2008 FELSENEGG,SWITZERLAND-FELSENEGG- (804m) is a favoured excursion spot not far from Zürich. A cable car transports from Adliswil (497m) to Felsenegg (300m) higher. A very steep trail, that was build through the forest in 1908-1912 also leads up the mountain for the more adventureous. Once at the top, there are a number of paths on the Albis ridge to either side of the cable car station. The view from up there to all directions is fantastic. On the Adliswil side is the panoramic view ofLake Zurich and on the opposite side is what I would call a typical Swiss view of hills and valleys and the tall mountains of central Switzerland in the distance. Felsenegg is about a one to two hour walk from the Uetliberg (the beginning of the Albis ridge) closer to Zurich.
