Unlike in most economic slumps, when gambling goes up, Massachusetts Lottery sales have dropped in recent months projected to decrease 5 percent this year compared to last.   • gee maybe the lottery should stop taking 50% of everything collected and allocating just 25% to lower prizes.. its a huge ripoff. i refuse to play most numbers games, at least scratch offs give back more, albeit still only 65%. raise it to 80% and more will buy maybe
