Michael Moore: Racial Fear Drives Gun Obsession

"Friday night, on the heels of last week's mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary in Newtown, Conn., the left-leaning Current TV is planning to air progressive filmmaker Michael Moore's ten-year-old Columbine documentary "Bowling for Columbine," with Moore revisiting the film to accuse American gun-owners of being motivated by racial fears.

Gun ownership, Moore said, "cuts down to the heart of our race problem that we still haven't resolved."*

In his award-winning documentary Bowling for Columbine, re-airing on Current TV, Michael Moore suggests that the American gun obsession is driven by racial fear, specifically, of African Americans. I'm more affraid of the corrupt Police than I am of Black People. I view Black people as being on my side. I've never worried about Black People invading my home, drunken white rednecks maybe, but not Black People, but more so, I fear irrational corrupt Police banging on my door for the thinnest of reason, fully willing to shoot me should I challenge there power in the slightest.

The Police have become the Gestapo. It doesn't matter if not all are corrupt, it only take one nutcase at my door.

The delusions of the Michael Moore fatso are amazing as usual, while all the world knows that the Americans are buying firearms and ammunition in record numbers, he indulges in the firm belief that the next generation will not have guns as well; and is more over convinced that he and the Kenyan usurper got another generation to surrender the supreme power in the USA to the owners of the private central bank called FED for good; so he may be awoken very unkindly from his slumber by gun fire.

In relation to this video I am discussing the matter of violent crimes. Not traffic stops, not drug possession charges, but violent crimes. You're bringing up an issue that has nothing to do with what I'm talking about, so I have no reason to respond to it.

I did not say cops ignore violent crimes committed by whites. But majority of the time cops stop minorities just cause while minority of the time whites are stopped. New York would be a great example of this and mostly in the south. Not all minorities have drugs and guns. They are law biding citizens as well as whites. Minorities are also stereotyped more than their white counterparts as well. Why is that when we are all "supposed" to be American?

It would be one thing to suggest this argument for general crimes; speeding tickets, not wearing a seat belt, and so on, but to suggest that cops ignore violent crimes because a white person is the one doing it is either paranoid or shifting the blame. In your reasoning there are hundreds upon hundreds of murders committed by white people that the cops know about it and choose to ignore. So unless you can demonstrate this is the case I am not about to agree with your appallingly racist claim.

Actually the reality is white people commit just as many crimes as colored folks. but the thing is, cops arrest more minorities than their whte counterpart thus seeing how more crime were committed by minorities. This countries is not as fair and balanced as it claims to be.

Seriously? Here is a word, look it up "Context". I live in a place where black people are extreme minorities. However, I have lived in the Big City with a lot more black people, and still didn't really have a problem. As to crime stats, they are more likely related to being poor & not having economic opportunity. And as to violent nutcases, they come in all colors.

The real problem is your in ability to read what I said & keep it in context. You & others are adding things I never said.
