Me playing over a backing track in A minor. I got it off the Guitar Center Website as part of their King of the Blues contest a couple of years ago.

Guitar is my custom Warmoth Soloist with a Dimarzio X2N in the bridge and PAF Pro in the neck

Amp is a Marshall DSL 401 with a Boss DE-200 in the loop

  • hi , great guitar and great playing !!!

i want to build the same model and i want to ask you some questions :

you have the contoured heel ?? and if i choose this option , they contour also the horn ?

and , i want the humbucker installed on the body directly , i have to choose the option humbucker wood mount ??

    thank's :-D

  • @sessamente

Yes I have the contoured heel, they don't really carve a whole lot of wood out to be honest. They only carve wood off the back of the heel, not the horn, but the design allows for good upper fret access.

To be honest I don't remember what option I chose, or if it was even an option. Since Warmoth redid their site, things are a little different. If you want to direct mount the pickups though, I'd suggest choosing the wood mount option yes.

    part 2

The way I did mine was by drilling holes in the pickup cavity, and then using standard pickup screws. I just use bits of tissue paper to prevent the pickups from moving around in their housing.

  • what's that!

  • What's what?

  • Hi. This is meant to be constructive. The purpose of playing a backing track is to play along with it, not just play disconnected licks that have nothing to do with the backing. Let the track guide you. Play less. You've got mad skills but this was a train wreck of an instrumental. Listen to the entire track WITHOUT playing along. Imagine a melody that goes along with it then pick up the guitar. You say "ZeppelinRules." Ask yourself, "what would Jimmy do?" Get to work! Post again soon!

  • @whatwoulditmatter Jimmy would hold his guitar lower than any man has held it before.
