Here's some hot kitten action at a Burmese cat breeder. They are blue, lilac and cream - all boys.

  • They look like awesome cats. How do they compare to a Persian? They are playful and love people right? I want to get one soon. My Persian just died from Renal failure at age 22.

  • I don't know much about Persians but my two Burmese are very friendly and playful. They are brothers so they get on with each other really well too (from the litter/breeder in this video)

  • i had a half burmese but he had a heart attack he was 17 jear old

  • Sorry to hear that. They really are awesome cats

Sorry for your loss. Burmese cats are wonderful! Mine will be 15 this year and he's still very playful. They're friendly and mine has even converted a few of my friends who aren't so crazy about cats.

  • The very first breeding of the Burmese, was between a brown cat from Burma, and a siamese. That was in California, before they were recognized by the Cat Breed Association in the U.S. There is also a variation in Europe, that recognizes more and varied colors. (prior breeder)

  • hmm Burmese monasteries/temples have their own cat breed. I'd be surprised if the cat we call Burmese did not originate from that breed, just like the Siamese ones from Thailand..

  • I have never had a Persian cat, but loved my piano teachers' when I was a child..

He was very shy, selective in approaching people. and not very talkative. I have no idea in what way he was a "typical" Persian cat.

My Burmese is the picture perfect Burmese if I read description on the internet.

A bit "dog like" in that he follows you around most of the time. VERY attached, very "obedient" (you say no to something and he'll respect it 99% of the time). they play fetch, they are talkative - VERY.

  • than where are they from?
