@pizzelle4u I am very glad that we have the traditional Latin mass, it was always used in Rome. However be wary of the SSPX they are on the very edge of schism. Remeber wether you fall off the left or the right side of the boat you are still in the water.

@angelpacheco59 If the SSPX follows Tradition, why ...
It could be difficult for them when the Pope says Jews do not have to convert in the present times and he does not affirm an ex cathedra dogma Cantate Domino which is in accord with Vatican Council II, Ad gentes 7, CCC 845,846, Dominus Iesus 20 etc.

People, if you want to know what the SSPX holds, go to their webpage. And if you click on the Apologetic Materials on the left side, you can get the New to Tradition Kit for free. It's really free: no shipping charges, no donation.

More liberal propaganda....HURRAH FOR THE SSPX!!!! THANK YOU HOLY FATHER POPE BENEDICT FOR GIVING US BACK OUR TRADITONAL LATIN MASS WHICH AS HE KNOWS WAS STOLEN FROM US!!

Pardon me, that comment was from me, I was logged on to the wrong user.
I sincerely doubt the SSPX belives Vatican II to be the continuence of tradition. We already would know if he was in schisem.

Neither is the SSPX or Cardinal Hoyes in schism.
It was reported a few days back in Avvenire, the newspaper of the Catholic Bishops in Italy, that the SSPX negotiations would continued with the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith. After the excommunication was lifted the SSPX were no longer in schism.
The SSPX members have the same faculties as all Catholics however their clergy have no official canonical status.

They are NOT in schism and never really have been in schism. It is thanks to them that the traditions and the true liturgy of the Church have been preserved.

Saintgeorge1000: They are NOT in schism...
They are in accord with Sacred Tradition and Vatican Council just like St. Maximillan Kolbe and many saints who are not in schism.
Cardinal Kaspar writing in the L'Osservatore Romano 10th April 2008 said Jews do not have to convert. He cites Lumen Gentium 16 as the ordinary means of salvation.
This is a rejection of Vatican Council II.
It is a rejection of Ad Gentes 7 which says all people need to enter the Catholic Church.
Is he in schism?
