Uhm, if you guys WATCHED the show, then you would understand why Mercedes, THE GIRL, is sing it. Glee actually does have plot here people..

All of the guys were uncomfortable playing transvestites. Mike, the asian, was originally going to be Frankenfurter, but his parents didn't want him to. Mercedes rarely gets to showcase her talent, so she took up the spot, saving the musical. ALL OF THE KIDS WERE UNCOMFORTABLE. So, that's why there is a girl singing it. Back off Haters.

The song Makes no sense if a woman is singing it, if it doesn't at least have her dressing as a man. The song is about a man dressed as a woman, not a woman dressed as a woman.
