@tobythesandwich Its not impossible keeping it up. It teaches you how to drive like there is a egg under the pedal. It stops measuring at idle caus e the car is getting 0 mpg cause its not going anywhere. Its going to drop when you touvh the gas it will also go sky high when your coasting. My friends car averages 28 mpg in a Buick LaSabre and he never lets the instant miles go below 8mpg.

@EdwardPack1988 It isn't needed. Keeping that "up" is impossible. It stops measuring at idle, and it drops considerably even if you tap the gas.

I like the P71 Crown Vic's, but I also like 2003-2011 Town cars. I would like to get a Town car with a Police package. I wounder if it could be done. The P71 and Town car engines are almost identcal but the P71 engines have a larger intake for extra power and are not speed restricted by a computer.

@Astromchaser Mechanically the Towncar is pretty much the same as the Mercury Grand Marquis and Ford Crown Victoria...but i know what you mean...the Pre 98 Towncars were alot more distinct and classy looking...dont get me wrong the 98-2011 one's arent just horrible but they kinda do just look like a fancy crown vic.

instant fuel economy is just dumb because it's constantly changing. It doesn't really give you an accurate reading. My Volvo has it and it's updated every second (so Volvo says) and every time I turn around it's like 3mpg on that.

@tobythesandwich Actually, it has proven to be very accurate. The average mpg reading is very close to my fill-up calculations. It is nice to have an instant mpg reading, with it I can tell which speed is most economical, if I am on a hill, winds, drafting trucks, and how hard the engine is working.
