THE WAR OF THE WORLDS - JEFF WAYNES MUSICAL VERSION - 2009 FILM - TRAILER

Welcome to the trailer of the only full length film adaptation of the Jeff Wayne musical version of H.G Wells' The War of the Worlds.
The First season comprising of chapters one through to five is now available to view on this channel.
Season two is in production and the first chapter will be released in early May.
The feedback for this project has been fantastic and I would like to thank everybody who has been so complimentary with their comment's.
You, the viewers have really made the whole thing worthwhile!
I was in two minds about moving the story to present day when I first started making this, but now I can honestly say unlike other attempts that it works very well.
There is no harm in modernising as long as you don't change to whole story line. After all Mr.Wells based the original in the place and time that he lived in, I did the same (I live 5 Mins from Horsell sandpits).
Hopefully one day a TV series could be produced based on the same ideas.
I have no Idea if Mr. Wayne has seen this, but if he has I hope he enjoyed a slightly different approach to the story line.
My total respect goes out to Jeff Wayne for such an amazing Album that nobody has even attempted to better.
Obviously the original story is credited to H.G Wells, but I think you will agree that most people associate the images that Jeff created with his musical version as the kind of official standard of WOTW. I know I do.
I suggest that anybody who enjoyed my film goes to see the musical.

Loved this and now the actual movie is blocked "for copyright reasons." Wonder how many people would have bought the CD, based on these videos, *if they could actually see the blessed things*? Ever heard of viral marketing? Sony, Universal, RIAA, et al,- YOU SUCK!

Absolutely amazing- just been to see the musical - this is the next best thing - perhaps Spielberg should of watched before making that Tom Cruise vehicle - cant wait fo the next part

I do like this video very much, it captures the urgency and fear of the novel. If you had Hollywood money I am sure this would be a 'towering success' . How small minded of YOU TUBE to block your film. Try sending it to the companies concerned and ask them for leniency. I hope your talent will out as you do have the novels spirit in your fine trailer.

not that i hated the Spielberg movie (i actually liked it) but i would love it if they did the movie like this. like have the setting as a modern day england and keep all the important plot elements from the book. and have jeff wayne do the soundtrack of course :)
