This has got to be the stupidest idea EVER. The only good I can see it being used for is on a film set where looks are more important than function. You tell me what women on earth who either works inside and/or outside the house, who's got kids, plus the most demanding of them all, a husband, you show me how she would have time to fool around with this a few times every hour! Piss me off, idiotic people think this would help me. Come paint my effing house if you want to do something useful.

If you really have a small amount of space to store your shoes, maybe you should think about cutting spending on shoes given your cramped living condition and save up for a roomier place. Otherwise you're gonna have fun washing your hands every time you touch the elastic cords.
