Absolutely wonderful, practical and helpful. I've just discovered de Mello and all of what he says confirms what I suddenly re-realised about this incredible livingness, about 3 years ago now. The stories Tony uses are such an awesome way of helping us to see.

@pirlodk There might be two problems with this type of thinking. First , the idea that enlightment is a goal to be attained in the future, or even that it is a goal to be achieved. Secondly, there is both guilt felt for not being able to achieve it, but there is also fear of achieving it . (I'm not ready yet, but perhaps someday when I overcome my programming). Perhaps taking a few minutes to see & not to think is all that is required to start. & who cares about enlighment?

He mentions that he taught an entire course on this stuff? Wow. How I would love to take or see such a course(impossible unfortunately, due to his untimely demise). I can't get enough of de Mello. He's given a lot to meditate on indeed.
