Hi, the castle is a ruin. We just call it a bunch of rocks... But like most old rocks it has history. I believe it still is free to enter and walk around, since it is public domain. Have fun. Tony

Yea, my family use to live close to that castle. Every time someone stayed at our house, we went there.

I was there for Halloween in 1985. I was only about five years old and the monsters scared me half to death. haha

The tradition about Halloween comes from Ireland, and has a Celtic origin. HALLOWEEN-comes from "All Hallows Evening - or The night before "ALL Hallows" ALL HOLY. Also, Oct. 31, 1517, Martin Luther, nailed his 95 critical theses onto the Cathedrals at Wittenberg, Germany. After that a storm of "reformation" went through Europe,it ended in the "30 Years War". Halloween was brought to the US by immigrants from Ireland. Thanks for remembering your scary "Halloween" in 1985.Tony
