Oh, do take a peek at the Rubbish blog...tonnes of stuff on there...I want one of your excellent music performances to be my backing tracks!! All the best, TS x

  • Hiya The Wheat Guy - thank you very much for your kind comment.

Like the 'States Bread' name! We have too much imposed uniformity in our food - it's nice to have something a bit left of field and perhaps the way Mother Nature or 'chaos' intended...

Thank you also for the link to the movie - much appreciated.

  • Hey PaperMason - thanks for your comment and I'm glad it's inspired you to get baking again. This type are the easiest to prepare and you can be eating them within 10 minutes of getting your hands sticky...even quicker if you're not bothered about waiting for the stuff to prove (in which case of course, don't put the yeast in!!!) lolol...

    All the best,

    TS

  • Fantastic Vid!

A kindred spirit for using scraps and making you're own from scratch! Wonderful.

The bit at the end about the odd shaped one - we have them at our home too upon occassion - we call them "States Bread" because they comeout shaped like each of different United States....South Carolina, California, Michigan...and on...(o:

Very nice video - headed to you link!

  • Excellent idea!!! I'll check out your website for the recipe. It's been years since I baked bread. In fact, today I had a simple cheese sandwich on homemade wholemeal bread with home grown cherry tomatoes on the side, at my friend's house (she's British) and the flavours are so robust and pure. Back to homemade real foods I go. Thanks for the inspiration.Great video, Hello from Canada!!!
