they man. im going to attend meced next year...and umm. is there any fun over there? i mean. do you guys have fun as students?

@Chepo760 On the campus level, we have a few activities planned here and there, but I personally don't find too many of them interesting. As a dorm, however, we have some crazy fun almost every single day. Friends stop by on a regular daily basis, where most of the time we either watch movies, *attempt* to study or just chill to some loud music and a bunch of running around.

Whatever your interests may be, as long as you get some great roommates, I can guarantee you'll have a great time.

why did UC make a university out of nowhere.... in the middle of a desert..... WTF?

Ask that question to the University of California Office of the President. One of the reasons was because the mayor of Merced wanted a primary source of revenue for his city, and so he placed the highest bids to have it built there. I'm not sure on the other legal reasons though.

@Silverstream619  i will be happy if I get into Merced. I have a 4.0 and lots of community service. I also play soccer ,and I take college classes
